The Kelliher Economics Foundation was set up by the late Sir Henry J Kelliher in 1965 to advance knowledge of Economics to the wider community. Today the Foundation continues to offer financial support to students wishing to study Economics at a New Zealand tertiary institute.
The Scholarship covers years two and three of an undergraduate degree (year one being Government funded), with the annual value of each scholarship being the full tuition fees cost per annum, being paid directly to the tertiary institution. In order for students to maintain their grant they must include economics in their study programme each semester/trimester and achieve satisfactory academic results across all papers. The Foundation is now accepting applications for the Award for 2018. You can access an application here. If further information is required, please phone 09 373 5727 or email [email protected]. The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 12 September 2018. Applicants will be notified of the judges’ decision by the end of October 2018, with finalist’s ratification in January 2019, once external Year 13 academic results are received.
