If you are from Maori descent, are a current year 11 or 12 student, and have an interest in exploring Otago University as a study option in the future, you can apply for the Poutama Hands-on at Otago scholarship. Hands-on at Otago is run on 13 - 18 January 2019 and participants get to experience a week of activities relating to a particular university subject such as Classics or Surveying with people from all over New Zealand, and stay in a University hostel. More information about Hands-on at Otago can be found here. Scholarship applications can be filled out here. Applications are due by 5pm on Friday 28th September 2018.

Sue Prescott from Massey University's fashion design programme will be visiting at lunchtime in A5 on Thursday 13th September. The purpose of the visit is to talk through the programme in detail and also to give students tips on how to prepare their portfolio. Bring photos/samples of your work to show Sue, so she can give you specific feedback. Also bring your lunch.
Staff from Massey University will be visiting us at lunchtime on 24th August 2018 in A5 to help you with your enrolment and accommodation applications and to answer specific questions you have about programmes you are interested in. This relates to anyone wanting to study at any of the Massey campuses, including those in Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland.

Wellington Future Student Evening - Our Wellington Future Student Evening is taking place Thursday 9th August at Samuel Marsden Collegiate in Karori from 6.30pm. You can register here, however it is not necessary to register, and you can just turn up on the evening. The evening will cover study options, entry requirements, accommodation, scholarships and other useful information. There will also be an expo set up you will be able to speak with some faculty representatives. Scholarships - Applications for the main first-year scholarships close on the 22nd of August. The Faculty of Engineering at The University of Auckland is hosting an evening for Year 12s and 13s who are interested in careers in engineering on Friday 3rd August 6-8pm. The event will be held just around the corner from school at the Royal Society of New Zealand, 11 Turnbull Street, Thorndon.
